Instagram Giveaway Rules

1. Sponsor
Olvera & Ho PLLC dba Texas Law Gals ("Sponsor"), 627 W. 19th Street, Suite 203, Houston, Texas 77008.
2. Sweepstakes Period
This giveaway (the “Giveaway”) begins on August 1, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. Central Time and ends on August 14, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Central Time (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be counted.
3. Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of the Greater Houston area who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. For purposes of these Official Rules, “Greater Houston area” means the following Texas counties: Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Brazoria, Galveston, Liberty, Waller, Austin, and Chambers (the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area).
Employees, owners, and immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings) or members of the same household of Sponsor are not eligible to enter or win.
Void where prohibited by law. This Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
4. How to Enter
During the Entry Period, to receive one (1) entry, an entrant must, on Instagram:
● Follow @thetexaslawgals on Instagram;
● Like the designated Giveaway post; and
● Tag three (3) friends in a single comment on the Giveaway post.
Limit: one (1) entry per person, per Instagram account, regardless of the number of comments posted or additional friends tagged. Entries generated by script, macro, bot, or other automated means are void. Entrants must have a valid Instagram account.
No purchase, payment, or fee of any kind is required to enter or win.
5. Prize
Two winners will each receive one (1) $200 Walmart gift card (the “Prize”). Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Prize: $200. Total ARV of all Prizes: $400.
No cash equivalent or substitution will be offered, except that Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Prize is non-transferable. Winner is responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes on the Prize. If the value of prizes awarded by Sponsor to any one winner in a calendar year requires tax reporting, Sponsor may request a completed Form W-9 before delivering the Prize.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
One (1) potential winner per Prize will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The drawing will be held on or about August 17, 2026. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
The potential winner will be posted on Texas Law Gals' Instagram story on August 17, 2026. Potential winner must respond to the notification and provide any requested information (such as confirmation of eligibility and, if applicable, a shipping or delivery preference) within forty-eight (48) hours of notification, or the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected from remaining eligible entries.
Before receiving a Prize, a potential winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release, to the extent permitted by law.
7. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to: (a) disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these Official Rules; (b) cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Giveaway; and (c) verify eligibility and entry information.
8. Release and Publicity
By entering, participants release and hold harmless Sponsor and its attorneys and staff from any liability arising from participation in the Giveaway or receipt/use of the Prize, except where prohibited by law. Except where prohibited, entry constitutes permission for Sponsor to use a winner's first name and Instagram handle for promotional purposes related to the Giveaway, without additional compensation.
9. Platform Disclaimer
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Information provided as part of entry is provided to Sponsor and not to Instagram or Meta. Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the Giveaway must be directed to Sponsor, not to Instagram or Meta.
10. Privacy
Information collected from entrants will be used solely to administer this Giveaway (verifying eligibility, contacting the winner, and fulfilling the Prize) and will be handled consistent with Sponsor's privacy practices. It will not be used to solicit entrants regarding a specific legal matter.
11. Governing Law
These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
